Welcome to The Void

A shared studio log for a curated group of designers, developers, photographers, musicians, and others. Not everything here is finished. That's the point.

Welcome to The Void

The Void is open.

This is a shared space for a small group of us — designers, developers, photographers, musicians, and whatever else we happen to be on a given week. This was made because I wanted somewhere for us to put the work that doesn't have a home yet. The experiments. The almost-finished things. The discoveries that felt worth keeping.

Not everyone gets to post here. Contributors are invited: a deliberate mix of people whose work we find interesting and whose process we want to see up close. This isn't a feed or an open platform. It's more like a studio with a guest list.

That said, don’t be shy. If you have something you want to put out into the world, reach out. We’re not overly strict about what gets shared, we just want to make sure it aligns with the spirit of the space.

Not everything here will be polished. Some of it will be rough. Some of it will be wrong. That's the point — this is more studio log than portfolio, more process than product.

You might find a design study next to a field recording. An interface prototype next to a photograph taken somewhere unremarkable. Code that does something small and strange. Fragments of things still becoming.

If you're reading this, you've found the window. Look in. Take what's useful: an idea, a technique, a mistake worth making your own.

This is just the first signal. There's more forming in the dark.

Best,
Daniel
